Cap colour

The Grim Hanger is a 46 mm, 3.7 kg heavy flow rope for advanced practitioners: all black rope with red handle wraps, and your choice of black or red end caps. Death by rope flow.

It is not a beginner rope. It is built for people who already control a heavy rope and want raw resistance and serious grip demand. It rewards slow, intentional heavy rope flow patterns like figure-8s, sneaks and dragon rolls that load your core and build functional strength. Heavy flow ropes are softer than a typical battle rope, so they roll and wrap around the body more easily.

Questions

Is The Grim Hanger good for beginners?

No. At 3.7 kg it is for advanced practitioners. If you are new to heavy ropes, start lighter and work up.

How is it different from a battle rope?

Heavy flow ropes are softer, which makes them easier to roll and wrap around the body. The Grim Hanger is made for flowing patterns, not only for waves and slams.

Black caps or red caps?

Same rope, same specifications and same price. Only the end cap colour changes.

How long is it?

265 cm in total and 245 cm between the handles.

Where can I learn the patterns?

Our free rope flow tutorials cover the techniques.

Best Feel Best Flow

It is hard to describe the perfect rope, it feels almost like weightless but so connected to your hands, it doesn't coil and looks good when going fast or slow

    Excellent service and quality

Living in Hawai'i and ordering from anywhere, especially another country, can be challenging. Winding Ropes was phenomenal - they shipped it fast and smoothly. The rope is excellent quality. Super impressed. Thank you!

    Great Upgrade

I started with an 800g rope which became too easy very quickly. Moving to the 1.5kg is the perfect step up in size.

My goto rope supplier - confirmed!

A great variety or great quality ropes. The light one slices through the air so agreably, while the 1kg one is a perfect transition to the significantly trickier to handle 1.5kg one.

I purchased all my ropes here (except my first one), and it's the second time I purchase this particular package. And just a shout out to the customer service: one of the ropes was not the expected weight, but they were quick to fix the mistake and sent me the correct one on the next day!

    Strong and POWERFUL.

Very good for grip and spinal engine work. The rope isn’t too stiff, looks slick and feels smooth. Heavy but not hard to use. One of my favourite heavy ropes with the Superwhale!👊🏽
