From Frustration to Automation: How I Built a Tool with Gemini to Save Over 120 Hours a Year on Shipping Labels

 

For any e-commerce business owner, efficiency is everything.   2. Take a screenshot of each individual label.

  3. Open Canva or another design tool.

  4. Create a new A4 document.

  5. Upload the label screenshot.

  6. Manually resize, center, and position two labels onto the single A4 page.

  7. Repeat for every pair of labels.

  8. Export the new, combined PDF for printing.

This process was a huge time-sink. For just 10 labels, it could easily take 20 minutes of tedious resizing and repositioning. Even worse was the occasional "full-page" label with duplicate copies that I had to identify and handle separately. I was losing precious time and creating a mountain of paper waste.

 

The "Aha!" Moment: Using Gemini to Build a Solution

 

I knew there had to be a better way. I had heard about the advancements in AI and how tools like Google's Gemini could help with coding, even for someone who isn't a full-time developer. I decided to see if I could create my own solution.
